My New Best Friend


New Year should be in Spring. Honestly, nothing gives me more strength, hope and motivation than seeing the world around me bursting with new life. 
I have the feeling that I, too, am starting a new life. And this is a very good thing.

I received my camera a couple of days ago and it instantly became my best friend. Seriously, how could I have managed without it? I take it everywhere with me and take pictures of everything. But we don't know each other too good yet.. There is too many buttons/options/settings! I'm totally lost here.. Out of over 400 photos I've taken so far only few are reasonably good. The rest.. well, I like to call them "abstract art".

Anyway, now I can do all of my projects and share them with you. And share a little of my life too. Now I will be a blogger I always wanted to be. Yeeey! Happiness all around!

Oh, almost forgot. These are Posh Cats - this time on canvas. Just need to add some final touches and put them up for sale (hopefully by the time I will learn how to take good pictures and will snap the Posh Cats better).

New products


I was always scared of experimenting when creating new things, can't explain why. I suppose I didn't want to be disappointed with the result. Finally I liberated myself from thinking this way and yeah, now I haven't got enough time for all my projects! It's unbelievable how greatly we can limit ourselves..

Posh Cat series is the effect of my new way of thinking. They are brooches and will soon be available in my etsy shop

My advent calendar

I actually never had an advent calendar. I mean we had those chocolate ones when we were kids but somehow it never survived the first week..
I wanted to create something original this year, you know, something more than just sweets. As I don't spend much time with Mr Hubby (yes, Mr Boyfriend finally became Mr Hubby!) being constantly busy I decided that this advent we will do something together every day. So I came up with a Date Advent Calendar.
Each one of us wrote secret 12 date ideas and we put them in our advent calendar house. I have to tell you - I am super excited since I had no idea what he prepared for me! 

So this is how it looks like:


I can't take any pictures with my camera right now, so had to use this picture instead. We ordered the houses for our online shop and we loved them so much we jest took one for ourselves. It's made of wood so we will have it for years to come. 

PS. We still have couple of the calendars left, and now they are on sale!

I used Rice Etagére for the photos. The etagére comes from the shop and you soon will be able to buy it online (yey, we are finally opening our online shop!)

Spring is in the air!

Well, not really... It's gray, cold and miserable outside. It's this funny time of the year - winter is over but it's not spring yet. The snow does not longer look like snow, trees look dead and there's no grass. So to put myself in a happy springy mood I did 'green' window display last night. 

It looks better in reality.. I'm still learning to take good photos and to edit them. The little dots on the second photo is paint from when the outside of the shop was painted last year. I'll clean it when the weather gets better :)

And I'm really happy with my little green vases - there were so easy to make! I have a tutorial on them and will share that with you on Monday (I've finally made a list of posts for whole month, so I'm going to blog every day now. That's a promise.)

Meet Kuba, our new employee

This is Kuba. She joined our little team last week and we all really like her. She doesn't do much yet she helps us a lot. She loves fashion and dressing up..


There's only one problem with her - she has a truly enormous head! It makes her look like an allien so we decided that she's much better off without it. 
Kuba and I are working on a fashion series together. It starts later this week and we both can't wait!

In the shop

I do apologise for never finishing the Valentine's series. Mr. Boyfriend surprised me with a trip to Cracov for the weekend so I simply couldn't finish it. And I had great time there! I simply love the place :) ( I would share the photos with you, but I forgot to take my camera...)

It's been a busy week here in the shop. We have a new employee - she loves fashion and I will introduce her on Monday, had two new deliveries and now we are working on improving our jewellery display.


My soon-to-be-sister-in-law helped me with the delivery. If it wasn't for her I'd be still doing it.. So a big thank you Katka!


Now we have lots of sweet notebooks, diaries, memo pads, stickers...

New wallpaper

So I decided not to be lazy and wallpapered the shop (not all of it of course, just one wall). It was supposed to be a half-day project but Mr Boyfriend, hopefully-soon-to-be-sister-in-law and I ended up doing it for almost whole weekend... But the outcome is totally worth it! It makes such a difference! I. LOVE. IT.



The wallpaper is from Isak and you can order it in the shop (and different designs too!).

The sun is (was) shining and I'm feeling good



We had a little bit of sunshine today! It lasted for about 10 minutes but that was enough to put me in a happy spring mood :) So I decided to do something "springy"... Here's the story in photos:






I planted little cacti in mushroom candle holders from House Doctor (for sale in the shop). Now they are standing on the counter looking great :)

Christmas Cards

I finished making the Christmas cards. They are completely different to what I had in mind, but at least they are still simple. Made 40 for now, but thinking of making more as already sold half of it and need to take some to one shop plus need some for the Cookie Day as well.

  
 
  

And that's where it all happened. I guessed I can't really work in a clean place..


Ok, going back to work. And it sucks as my friends are sitting in the kitchen having a little party.. And it's super cool outside with lots of snow.. I'd better get back before I start crying...

PS. For a first time since I moved to the house I can hear children playing and laughing outside. I really like it :)
PS2. By the way, the cards are much more colourful in reality than on the photos. I definitely need a new camera. Anyone wants to get me one for Christmas?

Bags are finished

I have finally finished the bags. Making them wasn't very enjoyable as I'm not well and I'm spending most days in bed trying to get better. And it's no fun. I'm getting stressed again as I can't work (I tried, but my runny nose, painful head and swollen throat put a quick stop to that) and I still have lots to do. So I'm  in bed for five days now and it's slowly getting better. It must be them hot teas with rum :) And Mr Boyfriend who looks after me very well. Maybe I should be ill more often?
Ok, I'll stop moaning now and show you my bags. Again, the pictures are rubbish, sorry. Maybe there is something wrong with the camera? 





























I hope you like them.They are all different sizes and as I make them mostly from used materials they are all unique and one off. I need to make more of them soon, but for now I need to focus on getting better. By the way, why no-one came to visit me with a large bar of chocolate? Very disappointed. But you still have a chance ;)

I'm lazy

Yes, I'm lazy. It's a well-known fact, never tried to hide it. I have lots of work, need 10 bags by Friday, more owls as they sell very well, not to mention I still haven't started preparing Christmas stuff plus I need to do my website. And I can't get around to do it. I have to kick my sweet bum (which is getting bigger and bigger) and do some work.

I have a new mobile (last one was hit by a wall..) and I really don't know how to take good pictures with it, so sorry for the quality. 
I'll try to make more hats and put them on Etsy. Don't sell anything there yet as everything I make goes to shops.

By the way, the concert was quite good, quite enjoyed it. Will definitely listen to them more often now. See you soon!
